Very nice that GE provides a cleaning solution and kit for their nugget ice maker, we use the ice maker constantly at our office, everyone love "the good ice" and keeping things clean is obviously very important, the cleaning kit works great!

I have been using the icemaker for over 6 months. This helped get rid of mineral build up and keep the machine functioning properly and ice production up. I wish the bottles were bigger. Maybe a bulk size

There is definitely a noticeable difference after using the cleaning kit. It was also a good value for the price. It's easy to use and works great. Glad there is a lot rather than trying to get creative with cleaning.

When I got my Opal Ice Maker, I didn't really know what sort of upkeep would be involved and I love that the brand offers a kit so you know you are doing it right. I don't want to break my beloved ice machine! This includes everything you need including the cleaning solution, a sponge (which is super cool because it comes looking like a thin piece of cardboard and when you wet it it immediately expands into a normal sponge!), cotton swabs, a cleaning cloth, and very clear directions written out with helpful illustrations. While the process of cleaning the machine is involved and a little tedious (one step involves leaving the solution soaked sponge in the ice tray for at least 18 hours!), this took out all the guess work and made it as easy as possible.

This product was so easy to use. I had purchased the actual ice maker a few months ago and they recommend that you clean it often. This made everything so much easier. You just follow the directions and it is done.

The Opal Ice Maker Cleaning Kit is fairly easy enough to use. It works. There are clear directions and even a video on line. it seems to really address the mineral deposit isues that can occur when your water is not of the best quality. I was personally nervous about using any product that has danger warnings for causing skin irritation and eye damge especially if it is going in something that I will be consuming ice from. However, it did the job and I just ran the cleaning cylcles again and all was good. The cleaning solution bottles were about 2/3 full. Not sure what this is about but from what I have seen on line, this is normal.

We've had our Opal icemaker for a few months now. We use it nonstop. So I figured it was time to give it a cleaning. The Opal Cleaning kit was easy to use. The directions are very clear and there are even pictures to help show you exactly what you need to do. I only use bottled water in our machine so I didn't have much to clean up. I liked how well written the directions are and I like that there is a kit to help make this an easy process.

If you have the nugget ice maker, you need this cleaning kit! It was so easy to use and comes with everything you need to get your machine squeaky clean. I appreciate that it's from GE so I know it's going to be compatible with the ice maker and not cause it any damage. Very pleased!

I never realized how dirty an ice machine could get. I followed the suggested cleaning ideas in the manual, but this cleaner brings it to another level. It does take a few steps and consumes a bit of time, but the results are worth it. The amount of scale I had come out was baffling. I never realized how much accumulation you could get. Absolutely worth getting again.

This solution helps the ice maker continue to make fresh ice. I have noticed the ice can start to taste a little stale, but running this cleaner through the system really helps. I'm not sure if it will help with the overall life of the machine, but figured it couldn't hurt! I love everything about the ice maker and into any products that will extend its life.

Instructions for using the Opal Nugget Ice Maker cleaning kit were very clear and I feel much more at ease after completing the cleaning process. Our water is a bit hard, so being able to remove any residue or scaling was huge. It was hard going without my favorite ice for the length of the cleaning period, but well worth it in the end!

This is a must have! Cleans the machine great and removes the mineral deposits that can develop over time. We live in an area where the water is very hard and it doesn't take long before calcium builds up. This kit did a fantastic job making my machine operate like new again!

my Opal Ice Maker as a gift for me, it has become monumental in keeping me hydrated in the Texas heat! So when it was time to clean the mineral deposits we followed the directions and it worked great the first 2 times. Then it didn't and I got on Amazon for cleaning options and this was what I found. Ice production is as good as the day we got it. so from now on we'll be using this to clean our machine! Since I use my Ice machine 24/7 it gets lots of built up so this de scalier and cleaner was the best. Make sure you watch the cleaning video on the website. Ice maker was making a screeching noise but after using this and following the directions it has stopped the noise and works great. love this machine and will gladly pay a little more to buy this product for my ice maker.

Easy to use. Took me an hour total to clean (got distracted). Simple set up and instructions were easy to follow and now my ice maker is super squeaky clean! the only way I've ever cleaned in the past was by hand and this is way more sanitary.

This works perfectly to clean my ice nugget machine. The solution bottles are small and easy to store for another use. I use it monthly or even less depending on how much I use my ice nugget machine so the solution can last a long time.

The ice maker cleaning kit comes with all the items required in the cleaning process. It is very easy to clean it using the draining all the water from the ice maker via detaching the pipe and reconnecting it again. It requires cleaning using the sponge that comes in the box and q tips that help to clean in the corner area where the sponge can not reach it. the cleaning solution does not have much odor and it is very easy to clean. It is specially designed for the GE opal nugget ice make really helpful.
The cleaning kit comes with a total of two bottles of cleaning solutions. it does not take much time to clean and the process is easily mentioned in the box. The ice taste also changed after cleaning my ice maker. I would definitely use it in the future.
