I purchased my refrigerator/freezer in 2020.A few weeks ago I noticed it was defrosting. Called cust. svc.I was asked to check the digital displays and try some trouble shooting. The rep Scheduled me with Frontier Tech. A compressor was ordered and shipped directly to me. Communication was a little difficult with the service tech but in the end the job was completed. So happy I was on the extended warranty and glad to have my refrigerator/freezer back. Thanks LG

Purchased August 2018 and unfortunately just had to replace it. Freezer stopped working LG service sent a new compressor November 2024 however repairman sad the compressor still didnt fix it and recommended the fridge be scrapped.

Broken in 3 months

I bought the refrigerator in July. Its November and its already broken. The freezer has layers of ice on it. I called customer service and they basically kept implying that it was my fault and Id have to pay for repair. i finally got a text to come and he said that it was a default in the fridge. Ive been. Waiting over two weeks for the part to come in. I think its repaired for free but its my last LG.

The French door feature and my refrigerator gives me so much room. I love that I can buy a lot of groceries and have enough room for them. The freezer is on the bottom and it also has tons of room for my frozen products. I got the stainless steel no print feature and I love it.

NIGHTMARE

Fridge stopped working after two weeks freezer was okay. Fine. These things happen I guess. But the customer service experience has been absolutely dreadful. Five visits by the contracted appliance service with two different technicians determining the unit was irreparable and mentioned Im not the only person with this exact same problem. But LG keeps saying they didnt receive the documentation for their engineering department to provide an approval code for a claim. I was standing there when the technician called them Last time I called LG the agent said all she could do was schedule another service request which she did and it was sent to the same repair service that had already told them twice it couldnt be fixed I thought I was losing my mind. I pleaded for her to do something anything to try and get the documentation from the appliance service to the engineering department since thats where the breakdown of their process was happening but she refused to make any other effort except message her Support Team. So many times I was assured Id be contacted after 24-48 hours. Forget the time expectation no one followed up ever. After three months of desperation we might finally be getting somewhere after a call from a Presidential Liaison who is giving me the option to replace the unit with another one thatll fail in two weeks. As if I want another LG anything in my house Refund please Also if youre a robot who scans 1-star reviews to tell customers youre sorry for the inconvenience and youre looking forward to helping them go unplug yourself.

I brought my LG French door refrigerator and 2019 And I was so happy I thought it was one of the best things ever until recently. When it just went out I was a little dumbfounded at first but I called the company set me up an appointment came by and fixed it so hopefully itll last a little longer. Received a fridge that didnt have all the parts. One month later and I had to repair the fridge myself with no help from LG other than sending me the missing part. Now they wont provide any food loss reimbursement because my issue doesnt quality. A brand new broken fridge whether its because they missed a part or the compressor is broken is still a broken fridge and I should be compensated for having to live without one for a MONTH.

I bought this fridge during Covid-19. There werent a lot of options for refrigerators during this time but Im glad I got it. It has Energy Star efficiency plenty of adjustable shelves and some nice compartments. The freezer on the bottom is convenient and I dont need to bend over every time I get something from the fridge. I didnt give it 5 stars because the rolling shelf cover at the bottom of the fridge compartment broke easily and is expensive to replace - so I didnt replace it.

This is our second LG Refrigerator. The first one died after only a few years. We have an unusual space so had to purchase the almost exact refrigerator which we were not to happy about. We have found some of the interior shelves and drawers are not as good as our first LG. The drawer that supposedly holds a tray is a waste of space and would better serve as a few smaller drawers. Also because the shelves are only attached in one back corner they continually move back and forth. Old rfrig had two connections in the back.

A refrigerator I just bought had a issues with the delivery date. You customer service is horribletake to long to talk to a human and took too long to resolve that issue. When it was finally delivery 2 weeks later the freezer door was dented. Called customer service only had to jump through hoops to get a new handle ordered. Waiting 2 weeks and no replacement. Called customer service again and was transferred 3 times. The previous customer service agent never put the order in. Order was place and am still waiting for delivery. Would never order an appliance from your web site again. Will stick to Best Buy or Home Depot. They offer better service.

I love my refrigerator. However I have requested service for it for a loud grinding noise it is making several times a day. Unfortunately the warranty company cannot find anyone in my area to come fix it. In fact they asked me to troubleshoot with someone over the phone. I am unable to do that. Then they asked me to find someone to fix it. This is so wrong. I bought a 5 year warranty and cannot get anyone to come to my home to fix it. I have requested a replacement refrigerator due to no one being able to come fix it. Havent heard anything since I did that.

Great refrigerator So good that I bought a second one for my office 2 years later. Then the first one broke down: compressor died. LG paid to replace it. 2 years later the other one quit same problem. LG paid for a new compressor but I had to pay $750 for albor for one hour tech time Its been four years and the first one broke down again - same problem. LG says they will replace the compressor again but I have to pay the $750 for the tech. What a gimmick its called job security

The design of the fridge is sleek and it fits great however the fridge has broken twice since I purchased it. Each time LG has repaired it but Ive lost hundreds of dollars worth of food twice. I would not purchase from this appliance brand again.

I bought this fridge about 2 and half years ago and the compressor went bad and was replaced. It took 5 days for the repairman to came and replace it . Agian less than 2 months later the problem came back and the fridge did not cool

3 Kids No refrigerator and No FOOD

My refrigerator stopped getting cold on Oct.2nd 2024 and I called customer service which told me since my refrigerator was under warranty still they were gonna have an appliance repair company take a look. The service was scheduled for one week later and that was the soonest. The repairman came by today and diagnosed the same thing the Lg rep on the phone said. Which is a bad compressor and from what Ive seen online Lg is notorious for this. So the repairman says we gotta order the part and come back and it will possibly be a little over two weeks give or take. So from the day the fridge broke it will be approximately 4-5 weeks without a fridge. I have 3 children in school and we have been struggling being able to just eat. We cant afford to eat out everyday and Im just hopeless now. I wish LG would actually help us.

I bought an LG French door refrigerator and love it. The quality of the refrigerator is excellent and it looks great. I ordered it through the LG website and it was easy and efficient. The sales that are offered from time to time are very generous. When I dealt with LG on the telephone their representatives were friendly and very helpful. Also the delivery company they use is top notch. Very friendly delivery crew. Ive bought LG products before and theyve all been wonderful purchases. Keep up the great work

Short lifespan on this refrigerator

The refrigerator was great until it suddenly stopped working due to a known and unaddressed by LG linear compressor issue. If theres a known issue with the compressor why not proactively inform and equip customers to elongate the life of their refrigerator? All I was offered when that failed was coverage of the cost of the compressor but labor was minimum $550 without a guarantee that it would last another few years at least.

Purchased this refrigerator new in 8.2018 and unfortunately without an extended warranty. At 6 years the linear compressor failed falling short of the 20 year anticipated life spam. Cost to repair would be approximately $1500. There was a lawsuit against LG in 2020 which alleges that LG is defrauding customers by selling refrigerators with a linear compressor that frequently breaks down before its advertised lifespan. The lawsuit claims that LG has known about the issue for over a decade and that the rate of failure is unreasonably high. The lawsuit also names several major retailers that sold LG refrigerators. There was another lawsuit filed against LG in 2.2024 for the same thing. Beware. Dont buy LG

After 18 months of normal use the refrigerator section completely stopped working after about 2 weeks of incessant humming noise. It was outside of the 1 year warranty so LG would have charged over $399 plus tax to send a technician for the repair. Outrageous A $1500 plus refrigerator should not stop working after 18 months of normal use.

We were left without a refrigerator for over three weeks due to a faulty compressor. These models all have faulty compressors and you wont be able to find anyone to repair it because they all refuse to work in LG refrigerators An absolute nightmare. Stay far away save yourselves

this fridge is not even 2 years old and the ice maker is not working properly it freezes up and I get big chunks of ice in the bin. I have an extended warrenty and the company in Texas that you use for warranty is the worst customer service in the world. Still no repair person on site for several days no response to phone calls. I doubt if I would ever buy another LG product again.

My old refrigerator stopped cooling well so I went to Lowes. They had a sale on. Out of all the brands and selections they had this refrigerator fit the bill the best. It is spacious easy to keep clean and had a readout so I know what exact temperature it is set to. My old fridge had a dial and it was just a guess what temperature it was. And the ice maker works great.
